iHome is one of the leading iPod accessory manufactures that jumped on the iPod bandwagon a few years ago. iHome’s new iH5 clock radio for iPod has everything you would expect from iHome including big sound from stereo speakers. You can choose to wake to your Apple iPod playlists, AM/FM radio or the built in buzzer. The removable dock insert is compatible with all docking iPods and charges the batterty while docked.
The multifunction LCD display has adjustable backlighting for those who like their clock to beam a little softer. One of my favorite features is the gradual wake setting which starts out soft and grows louder until you wake up. This is a nice alternative to the blaring buzzer or music that startles me awake. The gradual sleep mode starts loud and slowly softens as you fall asleep at night. Check out this and other great Apple iPod accessories at iHomeaudio.com.

Last Christmas my eccentric Aunt was giddy to show me a book about the adventures of her daughter. The book looked like it was well, a real book. A professional binding, a slip cover and glossy full-color pages made me think that this book was one of thousands published. It wasn’t. The book was a one-off product of Apple Photo Book. Using the brilliant iLife ‘06 software package and specifically iPhoto my cousin was able to create a real book from scratch. It was delivered to my Aunt just in time for Christmas.
Now not everybody dreams of publishing their very own book, but what a great gift idea. Instead of spending hours scrapbooking family photos you could just do it all in iPhoto and send it off to the printing press. You can choose from several different sizes of books, hardcover or softcover, double or single sided. Order as many copies of the book as you like. Apple is currently offering a promotion to encourage people to upgrade their software. Upgrade to iLife ‘06 and you can save up to $20 on your first Photo Book. Click here to learn how it works.
